Tag finder

Narrow the catalogue by what the tag goes on, how much room there is, how it is attached, the frequency band and the conditions. Each answer filters on facts the catalogue states.

What the finder asks

  1. The surface: fabric, metal or another surface that a family in the catalogue lists.
  2. The room available, as a largest length and width in millimetres.
  3. How the tag is attached, from the mounting methods the models list.
  4. The band: the US variant (902 to 928 MHz) or the EU and UK variant (865 to 868 MHz).
  5. The highest temperature in use and, for textile tags, the wash cycles needed.

Only the first question is required. You can skip the rest.

What it assumes

  • Sizes are the dimensions stated for each model. Leave room for the mounting method.
  • Temperature is compared with the operating range a model states. A model that states only a storage range is shown as possible, with the gap named.
  • Wash cycles are the figure the supplier states, under the supplier's conditions. Test samples in your own process before you rely on it.
  • A band matches only when the model lists that variant. A model listed with one wide band is marked as needing confirmation.
  • Read distance is not a filter. Stated distances come from different readers, power levels and surfaces, so they cannot be ranked across models.
  • When a fact is missing, the model is not guessed at: it appears as possible, with what is unconfirmed.
